About me

My name is Zemfira Duk, and I recently graduated from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) with a degree in Fashion & Branding.

My creative journey started at a very early age with photography. Growing up in Berlin, I was lucky to be surrounded by many other creative, like-minded people. My friends and I often went out together to photograph all kinds of different things. My biggest passion lay in creating small editorials, stories, and concepts, which I tried to visually bring to reality using my friends as models.

Over the past few years, I have shifted my photography focus towards new themes. During my trips to China, Russia, Palestine, and Israel, I experimented extensively with different lenses, allowing me to explore and capture architectural sites and landscapes in greater depth.

Although my main focus during my time at AMFI has been branding and fashion, photography remains one of my greatest passions. I’m a very visual thinker and prefer working with images and film. Additionally, I am an open-minded person who is always curious and eager to learn new things.

When I decided to pursue a career in fashion, one of my main goals was to expand my knowledge and gain experience across multiple dimensions of the fashion industry.

In my final year at AMFI, I had the chance to deepen my skills in various 3D design programs and created my own 3D fashion collection and digital environment. This was one of the most special and educational experiences I had during my studies. It’s relatively uncommon for branding students to engage with 3D clothing design, yet we discovered that my aesthetic vision, developed through branding, translated very effectively into creating clothing and environments digitally. Designing and creating fashion through 3D software has been a challenging yet incredibly fascinating, rewarding, and enriching experience.
